Invocation of the Elements
You will need
A candle, to represent Fire
A complete skull (or a small amount of earth from a graveyard) to represent Earth
A chalice (or a crystal glass) filled with water
Incense to represent Air
METHOD
Light the incense and the candle
Bear in mind as you do so that you are now making use of the Elements of Fire and Air.
Call upon the power of these Elements
Spirit of Fire
Spirit of Air
Join with me now
Ask for their help in the work you are about to do.
Lift the skull and invoke the powers of the Earth Element.
Do the same with the water.
Spirit of Earth
Spirit of Water
Join with me now
Then state the purpose of your ritual.
You can also use the names of the Gods or Goddesses like:
Tarantis, Dagda, Dian, Airmid, Bridgit, Danu
When you have finished.
Pour the water onto the Earth.
Bury the ashes of the incense.
Snuff out the candle.
This four elements need to be set in the Altar in square form.
Never work without the protection circle and always keep your words simple.
